This app is developed and maintained by Ankit Gaur, an independent iOS developer.

Data Collection

[UN]MUTE collects no data whatsoever. We do not collect your name, email, location, usage statistics, device identifiers, or any other personal information.

What Stays on Your Device

All alarm data (times, labels, repeat schedules) is stored locally using SwiftData on your device only.
Alarm sounds are bundled with the app and never uploaded anywhere.
Notification permissions are managed by iOS and are never shared with us.
Timezone preferences are stored locally and never transmitted.

Data Sharing

[UN]MUTE does not share any data with third parties — because no data is collected in the first place. There are no advertising partners, analytics providers, or data brokers involved.

Third-Party Services

[UN]MUTE does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data services. There are no third-party SDKs or frameworks that communicate with external servers.

Permissions

[UN]MUTE may request the following iOS permissions:

Notifications — Required to ring alarms at the scheduled time. No notification content is sent to any server.
AlarmKit (iOS 26+) — An Apple system framework used on supported devices for reliable alarm delivery. AlarmKit is provided by Apple and operates entirely on-device. No data is sent to external servers.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because [UN]MUTE collects no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete. However, if you are an EU resident under GDPR or a California resident under CCPA and have any privacy-related concerns, you are welcome to contact us:

Children's Privacy

[UN]MUTE does not collect any data from any users, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages and complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Given the nature of the app — fully local with no data collection — we do not expect this policy to change significantly.
